Mumbai, 19 September 2020 (GPN):   Transitioning from a classroom to an online teaching mode at home is challenging for schools and teachers who are finding new ways to engage with their students.

To foster creativity and collaboration from a distance, MISA (Members of International Schools’ Association) organized Junior TV Anchor contest across 100 international schools PAN India that are members of the association.

“Extracurricular activities are important for students to demonstrate their talents and passions. The MISAESTHETICS Junior TV Anchor contest has helped students from over 100 member schools to stay creative and curious,” says Dr. Kavita Aggarwal, Chairperson, MISA. “We expect to conduct many more inter-school activities for all member schools under the MISA umbrella.”

For the Junior TV Anchor contest, students were asked to prepare short videos on topics appropriate to their age and grade, including hobbies & benefits, earth & environment, digital generation and new-age career options.

Select videos will be featured on KidzByte TV – India’s first app-based news & knowledge channel for students and by students. The winners will be felicitated during an online award ceremony on 26 September ‘20 and will receive certificates and mentorship opportunities.

MISA was formed in 2009 to support Cambridge International Schools in India. The association is focused on providing world class quality education. MISA conducts various training programmes for teachers and provides a platform for students to hone their skills and bring out their best. ENDS
