MUMBAI, 27 AUGUST, 2020 (GPN):  Winnipeg Canada Jain Community was humbly honoured to host “Parana” for the Indo-Canada Businessman Hemant Bhai and his wife Hina Ben following their successful Eight days Fast call “Aathai” states

He mentioned that In Winnipeg they have a small Jain Community but all of them are united and follow all Jain festivals such as “Paryushan” and “Mahaveer Jayanti” States Dr Bharat Shah (Family physician).

He said that this year the Paryshun was very much different amid lock down and social distancing rules. During the Eight Days, Bhakti and Chatnya Vandan was performed OnLine, mentioned Winnipeg Jain Community motivated leader Shri Jitendra Dhurve. That’s the precise reason Hemant Bhai and his wife Hina Ben performed “Parana” with the presence of limited people stated Jayshree Dhurve.

Sushma Shah mentioned that during the Eight Days, we were honoured to listen to Vykhan(Vachna Shreni) by Guru Shravak of Ghaccdapati Acharya Yug bhushan suri ji MS (Known as Pandit Maharaj) via newly launched “Jyot” mobile application. Me and my Husband Dhiren were blessed to host “Parana” of Hemant Bhai and his wife Hina Ben. Infact in our jain Achar “Tapasvi” nu ‘Parana’ nu, labh Bhagyashali ne Male” when talking to Paras Kothari and his wife Flora Kothari, the importance of “Parana”.

“Paryushan” is one of the main festivals in Jain Dharma. Fasting is also an integral part of the “Paryushan” Week. Parna or Paarna means breaking the fast (or series of fasts) the next morning. … Fast is usually broken 48 minutes after Sunrise. This is usually done after praying to god with Navkar Mantra and Pachkan. ENDS
