HOW IT WORKS ⁉
*How a Binocular works*
Binoculars are simply two telescopes side by side, one for each eye. binoculars are used to get a clearer view of distant objects or living things. And to make that possible, two convex lenses are used by placing one after the other. When light rays from a distant object pass through a convex lens, they cross over thereby creating an upside down an image. That is why objects from far appear inverted.
To correct the upside-down image problem, A prism(a large piece of glass) is required to make an image appear upright. Otherwise, without the prism, the image would be upside down or side up. There are two popular types of prisms; namely roof prism and Porro prism.
The numbers that identify binoculars, like “8 x 42”, are magnification specifications. The 8 x is the magnification means the object will appear eight times closer to you than it actually is. The small this number, the larger your field of view. If the magnification is high, images less steady because everything including your handshake is magnified.
The second number is the objective lens diameter size. This is in mm “42″. which also tells you how much lights the objective lens can gather. The bigger this number the heavier the binoculars but the higher its ability to gather lights from far enabling you to see clear images far away than if the objective lens size is small.
