Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah reviewed about China Border Tension and The Covid -19 preparedness in Delhi

NEW DELHI, 28 JUNE, 2020 (GPN): In interview with the GPN, The Union Home Minister Amit Shah, said “The Government of India fought well against the Covid-19 pandemic. I can’t advise Rahul Gandhi, that’s the job of his party leaders. Some people are vakradrashti, they see wrong even in the right things. India has fought well against coronavirus and our figures are much better compared to the world,” he added.

IMG_20200628_184355He added that he was in constant touch with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the wake of the alarming rise in virus cases in the national capital. “There is coordination. Arvind Kejriwal is always kept in the loop. He is also involved in decision-making. Some political statements may have been made but no impact on decision making,” he said.

“The situation regarding bodies of the victims in Delhi was grim. Over 350 bodies were pending for last rites. We decided complete the last rites within two days. Today, no body is left for last rites. Now, the last rituals are conducted on the same day,” he added.

Shah also ruled out cases of community transmission in New Delhi. “There is no such situation (community transmission) in Delhi today, there is no need to worry,” he told GPN.

The Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah reviewed the preparedness of the 10,000 bed ‘Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre’ at the Radha Swami Satsang Beas in Delhi yesterday. Shri Amit Shah said the “10,000 bed centre would provide huge relief to the people of Delhi”.

The Union Home Minister said, “I applaud our courageous Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel, who would be operating this COVID care facility during these trying times. Their commitment to serve the nation and the people of Delhi is unparalleled”. Shri Amit Shah emphasised that the Union Government under the leadership of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi is committed to provide all possible help to its citizens.

The Home Minister also thanked the Radha Soami Satsang Beas and all others who helped to create this huge COVID care facility. The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the Union Home Secretary, Shri AjayBhalla and senior officials of the Delhi Government were also present on the occasion.

In interview with the GPN regarding the ongoing China tussel, The Union Minister Amit Shah, said “India will win both battles — Covid-19 and China border.” About the presence of Chinese troops in the Indian territory. Stressing that it was not the appropriate time to comment, Shah added “briefings were going on and if the need arose, I would answer.”

“Yes, we are fully capable of handling anti-India propaganda but it does pain when a former President of such a big political party does “ochi rajiniti(shallow minded politics) at a time of problems,” he said.

Showing the government’s preparedness for a Parliament debate on the border issue, Shah said: “Parliament honi hai, charcha karni hai to aaiye, karenge. 1962 se aaj tak do-do haath ho jayein (let us discuss from 1962 war till now, ready for robust debate).” ENDS
