~Plans to make Worli a tourism and environment friendly destination~

MUMBAI, 08 JANUARY 07, 2020 (GPN) : To meet the objective of making India’s financial capital a green city, the Hinduja Foundation initiated beautification of Worli Traffic Zone in conjunction with B.M.C. authorities. Members of the Hinduja Family who are Trustees of Hinduja Foundation, Hon’ble Aaditya Thackeray, Worli MLA and Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment Government of Maharashtra and Hon’ble Mayor of Mumbai, Smt. Kishori Pednekar performed the ground breaking ceremony stone for beautification of the Worli Ward from Rajni Patel Chowk.

Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Ashok Hinduja, Trustee, Hinduja Foundation, said, “Hinduja Foundation has always been committed towards the welfare of the citizens of Mumbai. This initiative is a step in the direction articulated by CM of the state towards improving the infrastructure in the city. We are thankful to Hon’ble cabinet minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Aaditya Thackeray and Hon’ble Mayor of Mumbai Ms. Kishori Pednekar for their support. We are also happy to work along with the BMC and State authorities to develop the infrastructure of the state.”

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Paul Abraham, former COO IndusInd Bank speaking on behalf of IndusInd Bank and newly appointed President of Hinduja Foundation said, “The planned beautification of the important traffic junction with suitable art installation would be a humble dedication by Indusind Bank to the city of Mumbai – India’s commercial capital and the IndusInd Bank’s city of origin”

Mr. Gopichand.P. Hinduja, Co-Chairman, Hinduja Group and Mr. Prakash Hinduja, Chairman, Hinduja Group (Europe) were also present at the event.
