– Jury took special note about both the innovative ideas by the two Mumbai students
MUMBAI, 28 November, 2019 (GPN): Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Ltd, conducted a finale where two students from Mumbai presented their ideas. The ‘H-Social Creator’ is a social innovation program instituted to felicitate young minds who can deliver simple yet big innovations in areas of road safety, environment and clean India.
Ideas of Sarvesh Srivastava and Vinika Sharma from Universal Business School, Mumbai were among eight other ideas in the grand finale of Hyundai Motor India Foundation’s H-Social Creator Award. Sarvesh’ idea on an application (app named D-Pariksha) that would help reduce use of paper and Vinika’s idea of an alcohol analyzer for drivers were strong contenders for the awards.
Alcohol analyzer is used to measure the amount of alcohol intake by a person. This device would be installed in the motor vehicles in synchronization with the ignition process and a red-light below the number plates of any four-wheeler. One would have to blow over the device and the device will test amount of alcohol intake. Along with this, a sensor is installed in the motor vehicles which will detect the speed and rash driving. In both the situations, a red-light will start flickering to determine whether the driver is drunk or crossing the speed limit or is driving rashly.
