Fevicreate and iVolunteer organise ‘Art Paathshala’ to build a creative solution to the plastic menace

Mumbai, October 6, 2018 (GPN) : Taking a stance towards a greener Mumbai and to celebrate India’s festival of giving, ‘Daan Utsav’, Pidilite Industries in collaboration with iVolunteer embarked on a unique initiative called ‘Art Pathshaala’. Organised under the aegis of Fevicreate programme, the initiative also encouraged and motivated children to be more creative.

About 1000 volunteers participated and conducted ‘Art Pathshala’ for 30000 children across 60 BMC schools. The children were taught to make paper bags with the help of newspaper and other required materials. While they used Fevicol to stick the bags, Rangeela tempera colors were used to enhance its beauty by adding dash of colours.

Mr. Shantanu Bhanja, CEO, Consumer Products, Pidilite Industries Ltd, said, “We are truly excited to be associated with Daan Utsav Festival. It gives us an opportunity to contribute our bit towards the environment. More so, in alignment with our Fevicreate initiative through we endeavour to enhance creativity amongst children and provide them a platform to showcase their artistic skill and explore innovative problem solving skills. ”ENDS
