Union Bank of India Launches e-SBTR facility of Government of Maharashtra

May 25, 2016 – Mumbai : Union Bank of India today launched e-SBTR (Electronic Secured Bank Treasury  Receipt) facility of Government of Maharashtra.   e-SBTR facility will be available at all its  508 Branches in State of  Maharashtra as well as  through  internet   banking.   The e-SBTR facility was launched today by Shri Dinesh Kumar Jain, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary Finance, Dr. K. H. Govinda Raj, IAS, Secretary, Department of Relief & Rehabilitation, and Dr.  Ramaswami N, IAS, Inspector General of Registration & Controller of Stamps (IGR), Government of Maharashtra,  in the presence of  Shri Vinod Kathuria, Executive Director, Union Bank of India.

The e-SBTR system enhances ease of operation and convenience for citizens by providing single window payment facility of both Stamp Duty and Registration Fee.  Importantly, the e-SBTR allows payment without any ceiling and is available on 24x7x365 basis through internet banking. Thus, no more queues and waiting in Bank Branches and adhering to Stamp Hours.
