MUMBAI, (GPN): Mumbai witnessed a grand opening ceremony for the inaugural edition of the T20 Mumbai League at Taj Lands End. The star-studded ceremony enthralled the audience to an evening of glitzy performances with a cultural mix, and surprise reveals on the league. Charming the audience with her beauty and smile, Sonali Bendre hosted the event alongside Shreyas Talpade entertained the audience with his fabulous wit and comic timing.

Gracing the event were cricketing legends; Sachin Tendulkar, League Ambassador and Sunil Gavaskar, League Commissioner along with MCA President Advocate AshishShelar. Also present were Kadar Makani, CEO, Probability Sports and Karan Bhagat, Founder, IIFL Investment Managers.

With the tagline ‘AamhiMumbaikar, AaamhiCricketkar’, the opening ceremony saw the exotic and sparkling Maharashtrainflavour with cultural acts that celebrate and showcase the history and spirit of Mumbai and the Marathas.

Adding the glam factor to the event were Bollywood performances by stunning Kriti Sanon, handsome-hunk Siddharth Malhotra and evergreen beauty Madhuri Dixit.The T20 Mumbai League was off to a colourful start with a starry affair of Bollywood performances, cultural extravaganza and cricketing anecdotes from legends and emerging players.

The franchise-based league will be played across eleven days starting from March 11th at the Wankhede Stadium. The matches will be telecast live on Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD.
