Tourism Road Show ‘Let’s Talk Madhya Pradesh’ Recreates the Magic of the Heart of India

Mumbai, 10th June 2016: Madhya Pradesh, a state that reflects the true cultural heritage of the nation through the amalgamation of various communities, castes and ways of life has always been a major tourist attraction. Winner of 6 National Tourism Awards, Madhya Pradesh is one of the forerunners among the economically rising states of the country and is teeming with vast potential of investment in tourism sector. To showcase this resurgent and fast growing tourism sector, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Corporation held a road show in the Financial Capital of the nation, Mumbai on 10thJune, to present to the Travel Agents, a glimpse into the heart of India. A press conference was organized prior to the road show at Sea Princess Hotel, Juhu at 2.30PM and the occasion was graced by AMD of M.P. Tourism, Ms.  Tanvi Sundriyal.  The grand road show, which was a visual fiesta, gave a quick detour to the rich and diverse heritage of Madhya Pradesh and the city of dreams was dazzled.

Madhya Pradesh has always had a variety of attractions to offer.  From being the state with the largest forest area cover of 77,700 sq.kms filled with Sal Trees & Bamboos to wildlife hotspots with 9 National parks & 25 Wildlife sanctuaries such as Satpura Wildlife Sanctuary and Chambal Ghadiyal Sanctuary and 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Khajuraho, Bhimbetka and Sanchi, MP has something to offer to anyone with a wanderlust.. Beautiful architectural sites such as Gwalior and  Mandu , mesmerizing water bodies like lndrasagar, Bansagar, Tawa and fun filled Cultural Events Khajuraho Dance festival, Malwa Utsav, Tansen Festival, Allauddin Music fest, MP leaves no stone unturned to captivate your heart and imagination. Madhya Pradesh is home to Omkareshwar and Ujjain, the city of the holy Shipra River where the Auspicious Simhastha Kumbh Mela, which happens once in 12 years, recently took place. Bhopal and Burhanpur boast of the Muslim Mughal Architecture and history and they are truly a state of many cultures, religions & traditions.

Malwa and Nimar Regions are renowned for their hand Block printed cotton textiles, famously known as Bagh Prints and Chanderi and certain unique features such as Worlds first Broad gauge Rail Restaurant and ’Sair Sapata’ at  Bhopal &” Holiday on Wheels” by  Caravan Tourism are also gaining popularity.  Jal Mahotsav February 2016 by M P Tourism was one of their stunning contributions to the nation and several magnum opuses have been shot in M.P, credits to the mesmerizing locations. MP Tourism has made policies and incentives to promote various tourism projects in the state and to facilitate their easy implementation. The main amongst them are its forward looking Wayside Amenity policy, land allotment policy and incentive for heritage projects. Incidentally, bids are out for 3 heritage projects. MP Tourism has also facilitated the National Conventions of IATO, ATOI and ADTOI in Madhya Pradesh. 2015-16 was celebrated as the “MP Tourism Year” which focused on all tourism parameters.

The Road show gave the city an insight to the heart of the nation and the culture, heritage and diversity. The vibrant and organized rally grabbed eye balls all the way.
