PM TO CELEBRATE DIWALI AT THE BORDER WITH JAWANS

Prime Minister Narendra Midi will celebrate Diwali with those guarding the country’s borders. This year Modi will celebrate the festival of lights with ITBP personnel at one of the remotest border posts in Uttarakhand. Modi, who as Prime Minister celebrated his first Diwali in 2014 with the Army in Siachen and the second one in 2015 on the Punjab border with Pakistan, will spend time with ITBP men on the border with China on Sunday 30th October, 2016.

National Security Adviser Ajit Doval will accompany the Prime Minister, the sources said.

Modi is also expected to visit Badrinath, which is located nearby.The sources said that ITBP DG Krishna Chaudhary is camping in Uttarakhand to arrange for the visit and ensure the festivities take place smoothly.

The Prime Minister had urged people to send their good wishes to security forces on Diwali, saying such messages would boost their morale.
