Mumbai, 17th November 2018 (GPN) : A starry congregation on Saturday evening at the luxurious A Club, Mumbai witnessed a festival of women, for women and by women, Festivelle Boss Lady the brain-child of actors Gul Panag and Shruti Seth. The engaging sundowner celebrated the true spirit of being a Boss Lady with successful women from all walks of life, such as actors Richa Chaddha, Rasika Duggal, actor and entrepreneur Perizad Zorabian, jewellery designer  Shaheen Abbas, designers Anita Dongre and Roshni Chopra media personalities Shaili Chopra, Malishka Mendosa, Namrata Zakaria, blogger Malini Agarwal, and 3-time Olympian champion and 5-time world record holder, Stephanie Rice, nutritionist Pooja Makhija,  celebrated pastry chef Pooja Dhingra, entrepreneur and founder of The Label Life Preetam Sukhtankar and so many more, each with their inspiring stories.

Festivelle  is India’s first women-only festival. In its pioneer year 2016, Festivelle organized a 2-day festival with the thought of creating a platform for women to celebrate themselves the way they are and to be fearless in pursuing their dreams. In this year’s  first offering – Festivelle Boss Lady , it brings together women from all walks of life and seeks to create powerful and inspiring conversations around women. This objective will further be achieved through 3 extraordinary events after the Festival Boss Lady; based on women’s health, inner beauty and finance; all leading to the ‘Big Festivelle’ – which will be a culmination and celebration of the sustained engagements done throughout the year in 2019. Festivelle Boss Lady showcases empowered women- from a corporate head to an influencer, professional specialists to entrepreneurs, with the objective to bring together these ladies and share their stories with the world, and to create role models that other women may follow.

The high profile  evening began with a candid session of ice breaking and introductions, allowing guests to get to know each other better. This was followed by Malini Agarwal’s introductory note and a sublime performance by Caralisa Monteiro with guests unwinding at the fun filled sundowner. The guests gathered together for an uber-luxurious five-course sit down dinner paired with cocktails and fine wine, and an impactful recognition of all the fabulous females who have aced their ventures and are running successful businesses.

Aviator, actor, producer and founder of Festivelle, Gul Panag says, “We want to bring together women who have achieved the unthinkable by making their own rules of success. It is vital to discuss issues that women encounter on a daily basis and to challenge stereotypes that surround a woman’s identity. Some of the issues that continue to persist are – how women deal with a largely patriarchal environment, workplace biases, and how to combine motherhood and professional roles and requirements. The event was an open minded discussion where our Boss Ladies shared, how they have dealt with curveballs in the past and addressed such issues. The precursor to any change is dialogue, discussion and debate, and that’s what we are doing with Festivelle Boss Lady today.”

Actor, producer and co-founder of Festivelle, Shruti Seth Aslam mentioned that, “Festivelle is about all things women and Festivelle Boss Lady, unlike most events in the country, is not limited to just music, comedy, shopping or entertainment; but an effort to have conversations revolving around women. The purpose of this is not only to invoke powerful thoughts or ideas but also to inspire the multitude of women that carve out their own niche.”

Festivelle Boss Lady provided a warm, elegant and wonderful platform that brought iconic women together; who have created something distinctive in their own field and offered a star studded evening of inspiration.ENDS
