MUMBAI,  19 December,  2017 (GPN) : Altina Securities as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been playing a very active role in focusing on its twin objectives of promoting financial literacy and entrepreneurship both at the start up level and scale up level.

The primary objective is to educate aspiring entrepreneurs about entrepreneurship and motivate them to establish their own ventures. The mentoring sessions organized are addressed by eminent entrepreneurs and industry leaders encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs to take up the path of entrepreneurship  

An entrepreneur’s journey begins with a small investment, big dreams and risk of the impossible. There are entrepreneurs who have made the impossible possible and have shaped big dreams into reality and who also have the potential to convert their companies into world class entities.

To recognize and celebrate entrepreneurship especially from entrepreneurs in the SME sector for their outstanding contribution in their respective fields the Altina Entrepreneur’s Excellence Awards 2017 were announced at a glittering function recently. The Altina Entrepreneur’s Excellence award is a sincere attempt to identify those brilliant business ideas and ventures and recognize the efforts of chosen entrepreneurs who deserved the honor to be showcased as role models to aspiring entrepreneurs.

The following were the recipients of The Altina Entrepreneur Excellence Awards 2017 -Mr. Anand Ladsariya – Managing Director- Everest Flavours Ltd .Mr.  Abinav Thakur- Managing Director – Accurex Bio Medical Pvt. Ltd.  Mr. Wilson Goudinho – Director – Fabrizo Industries Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Ivan Castelino Director- In Solutions Global Pvt.Ltd.  Brijdina Coutinho- CEO – Bassein Catholic Co-Op Bank and Mr. Suraj Morarkar of Sun Leisure (India) Pvt Ltd.

Also with a view to identify aspiring entrepreneurs every year Altina Securities organizes an Essay Contest on subjects pertaining to entrepreneurship. This year in its 8h edition the topic was on “The Power of ‘The Media”

The jury consisted of eminent personalities which included – Mr. Arvind Inamdar- Former Director General of Police Mrs. Nazneen Karmali- India Editor Forbes Asia. Mr. A. B. Ravi- Editor – Special Projects CNBC TV 18   Mrs.  Anna Bredmeyer India’s Super Model. Mr. Clifton Desilva – Director Altina Securities Pvt. Ltd.

.The first prize of Rs 30,000 was won by Sharlene Lobo, the second prize of Rs 20,000 to Prianca Marie Dias and the third prize of Rs 15,000 to Nora Bhatia

.Another focus area of Altina is financial literacy wherein Altina Securities continues to play a major role through initiatives like seminars, conferences, workshops, industrial tours etc. Also financial literacy is achieved through publications of articles on investment in leading investment publications.

Altina Securities till date has organized over 1000 investment seminars ,published over 1000 articles on investments in leading investment Publications , organized  several full day workshops on wealth creation as well as industrial tours to blue chip  companies such as  Tata Motors ( Pune) Siemens (Nashik) Piaggio _ Vespa ( Baramati) Flamingo Pharma( Taloja to name a few.
