Mumbai, 12th August, 2019 (GPN): All India Gem & Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) Chairman Mr Anantha Padmanabhanurges entire gems and jewellery industry to remain calm in the troubled times for the industry, commenting at 8th edition of GJC Nite, one of India’s largest gems and jewellery networking and fashion extravaganza.

Mr Padmanabhan further said, “We are on the right path. Will urge the industry to stay calm and promise that we will see better days very soon and better future.”

However, Mr Shaankar Sen, Vice Chairman, GJC, at the occasion said, “The industry is going through a tough time and in a transformational phase. We all need to do self-introspection. It is important for us to keep abreast of latest technology and adapt newer ones to move ahead along with the time, taxation processes and promote make in India.”

The 8th edition of one of its flagship networking event, GJC NITE 2019, an annual networking event organised along the side-lines of the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS Premiere 2019). GJC NITE 2019 gives a unique opportunity to manufacturers, retailers and key constituents of the gem & jewellery sector to forge new business relationships and a dazzling platform to unveil the exclusive and designer jewellery collection by leading fashion brands. This year, around 1,200 members of the domestic gem & jewellery trade attended this mega jewellery networking event. Besides the trade fraternity, the event also saw attendance of prominent personalities, members of the media as well as prominent trade associations from across the country.

The oomph factor this year was Actresses Zarine Khan, Shamita Shetty, Sophie Choudhry and Michelle Shetty who sizzled the show as showstoppers for Swarovski Gemstones fashion sequence at the GJC NITE 2019, walking the ramp and showcasing some of India’s finest jewellery creations.

Mr. Manoj Kumar Jha, Convener GJC Nite, said, “Every year, GJC Nite has scaled up the quality of designs and the experience. The latest collections launched at GJC Nite will be the trendsetters of the rest of the year.
