Mumbai 12 December, 2017 (GPN) : The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) today announced its flagship event to be hosted in Thane on 15th December, 2017. With a mission of building smart cities and future living focused on the overall environment and air quality in the country, ISHRAE brings Thane chapter of URJAVARAN 2017-18.
Indian metropolitan cities have recently seen unprecedented levels of air pollution and smog which has led to the total breakdown life of a common man. While the focus of the smart cities in future would be technology linked lifestyles, we must not forget the environmental challenges.
The objective of the conference is to raise awareness and share knowledge on technologies and products, which are not only efficient but are environment-friendly and will help in creating sustainable buildings. It also serves the dual purpose of a trade meeting point for Construction Industry professionals, where the suppliers and manufacturers can showcase latest products, technologies and also network with Leading Architects, Builders, Key buyers, leading decision makers and senior government officials.
Speaking about the conference Mr. Vishal Kapur, National President, ISHRAE said, “More than 30% (400 million) of the Indian population live in urban areas and this figure is increasing every year which could well touch 50% (900 million) by 2050. Thus the requirement for building stock will increase multiple times and Tier 2 and 3 cities will emerge as the future growth areas. It is believed that to build accommodation for 50% of country’s habitants, the growth of buildings and constructions industries will grow at tremendous levels. At a same time we must ensure that the growth is responsible and sustainable. Also, increasing need of affordable living should adapt energy efficient technologies for thermal comfort, proper air quality and waste management & judicious use of power. This should be the future living of the citizens for the smart cities concept to be a reality.
Urjavaran 2017-18 provides the right kind of platform for the companies to promote their products and and network with other co industry leaders at large in the Tier II and Tier III cities. The conference also helps in building awareness and bringing forward the solutions and technologies of the future.”
In the approach to the mission, Urjavaran has been successful in bringing various segments of buildings and construction under one umbrella in discussing the possibilities and challenges of building smart cities. The ‘future living’ is directly targeted to provide core infrastructure and give a good quality of life to its citizens, a clean and sustainable environment and application of ‘smart’ solutions.ENDS
