MUMBAI,  2 December,  2017 (GPN) : Mumbai’s 14ys old, Harshita Shetty from Lokhandwala Foundation School, Andheri  clinched gold medal in shotput at the Jr. National Athletic meet, which was held at Vishakhapatnam recently.

The talented Harshita, has shot an impressing distance of 11.24 metres to achieve the golden mark.  She has bagged various awards recently at the MSDAA district & nationals. At the u-14 age group, at the MSDAA district, she created a new meet record distance of 9.80m. Last three years Harshita has been training under Pundarik Puthran (Chatrapathi awardee) at Sports Authority of India (SAI), Kandivali.ENDS
