November 16, 2017 – Mumbai (GPN) : Union Bank of India today celebrated its 99th Foundation Day in the august presence of various dignitaries and esteemed clients of the Bank.

 

On its 99th Foundation Day, Bank felicitated 5 distinguished personalities with Life Time Achievement Awards viz.

On the occasion of Foundation Day, Bank launched following products:

 

ChatBot

 

Bank has introduced FAQ Chatbot Solution named as UVA (Union Virtual Assistant). FAQ Chatbot Solution – UVA is computer software designed to conduct text based conversation with human users on bank’s Corporate Website and official Facebook page. Customer can write their queries on the ChatBot icon present on corporate website and Facebook messenger at UnionBankOfficial. All the queries related to Bank’s products and services will be responded by UVA.

 

Debit Card Control

 

Bank has introduced additional facility in U-mobile for debit card holders to control their debit card features named “Debit Card Control”. The Debit Card Control facility in U-mobile is available for 24x7x365. The cardholder will be able to :

  • Add or delete card from the application.

  • Temporarily deactivate/activate the card by toggling the button in the application screen.

  • Set spending limit on the card per transaction and/or for cumulative transactions for a day, within the respective card variant limits.

 

U-Command

 

Bank has introduced the process of biometric authentication of ATM transaction through finger print. Union Bank is first PSU Bank to introduce biometric authentication of ATM transactions. Presently, 900+ ATMs are configured for biometric authentications across India for our cardholders, which enables our ATMs with additional option of authentication by finger print of those cardholders whose Aadhar number is seeded in Bank account. Authentication of ATM transaction is applicable for cash withdrawal and balance enquiry acquired on our terminals by our card holders.
