Mumbai, November 13, 2017 (GPN) : Bollywood music sensation Arijit Singh created magic on Sunday evening in Mumbai with his Bollywood hits – Channa Mereya, Zaalima, Tum Hi Ho for the GenM music concert by Mpower.

The MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai reverberated with energy and excitement as he took the stage and charmed the audience with his pleasing, energetic personality and his soulful music. The Mpower movement, the brainchild of Mrs. Neerja Birla, brought together the city of dreams – Mumbai for a cause that encourages dialogue to stamp out stigma associated with mental health.

Kumar Mangalam Birla, Ananya Birla, Dino Morea, Kanika Kapoor, Arman Mallik, Anjali Tendulkar, Sharmila Thackarey, were present for the concert and lent their support for a noble cause – mental health in India at the GenM music concert with Arijit Singh.

Arijit Singh, a champion of mental health said, “I’m extremely thrilled to be a part of this initiative. With everything happening in the world right now, I believe that we all need to come together and stand up for causes that truly affect us. Every voice matters and I’m lending mine too. Our entire team is showcased a new live set. The GenM concert is special. More importantly, I  witnessed people standing with me in support of the Mental Health #EarForYou movement. It was a beautiful experience for everyone involved.”

Mrs. Neerja Birla, Founder, Mpower said, “It is widely known that music as a universal language has a positive, calming, soothing effect on mental health. Seeped in melody and rhythm, GenM is a vibrant attempt to bring together our young change makers – the youth – to join the movement and stamp out stigma. Mpower aims to be The Movement to affect change and end any and all stigma through dialogue around mental health. The Mpower Centre and Foundation can be visited by individuals, regardless of socio-economic status, gender, disability, age, religion, caste, or sexual orientation to benefit from the professional mental health services provided.
