Mumbai, November 8, 2017: Zoya, The Exquisite Diamond Boutique from the House of Tata, hosted an elegant soiree with a uniquely curated collection titled – “Stories Unlimited” by artist Sangeeta Babani, at their flagship boutique in Khar. The distinct collection was unveiled by the highly acclaimed actress and activist Shabana Azmi. The evening juxtaposed Zoya’s beautiful jewellery along with distinctive pieces of art by Sangeeta.
Zoya travels the world and finds varied inspirations for its collections and translates them into pieces of art; with every collection narrating a story. Each masterpiece is designed with unique techniques to create a combination of art and craft and perfected using the latest technology. All Zoya’s collections take a meticulous 9 months to create from concept to delivery, making each piece a work of fine art.
Sangeeta Babani’s collections are inspired from the celebration of daily life and an appreciation for different cities and culture. “Stories Unlimited” is an ambiguous melange of inspirations and simultaneously introspective in nature, creating vibrant hues and multiple thoughts that draws people in and unfolds a story. Every artwork is an expression of scenes, connections of places and time, underscoring the desire to create a better world.

Sangeeta Babani was raised in Spain and settled in Mumbai, India after her marriage. Studying Arts in Spain a country rich in art and culture and the immense cultural diversity of India are hence naturally ingrained in her and have influenced her immensely. She was greatly influenced by two wonderful Spanish Artists, Goya and Velazquez and found their figurative work impactful. For her works, she draws inspiration from people with emotions that communicate a sense of tranquility and privacy, moods which value above everything else. She loves expressing her creativity on cars too and her work on metal is as reflective of her influences as that on canvas. She has held numerous exhibitions in India and abroad. This year, Sangeeta bagged the award for Contemporary Artist at Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.
