•Held on 25th March 2017, Femina Style Diva North witnessed participation from 14 contestants from across India.
National, 28 March, 2017 (GPN) : The most anticipated event of the year,‘ The Rajnigandha Silver Pearls Femina Style Diva North’ 2017, kick started with a glamorous walk through of the red carpet at TheWestin, Gurgaon, on 25th March. Like every year, the finale of this unique event saw some of the most aspiring trendsetters from the world of fashion. The contestants graced the finale with much elation to get a little closer to etch their name in the world of glamour and style.
The divas who were groomed for the occasion looked glamorous and had a slight hint of trepidation as they drew close to the finale, after clearing various competitive rounds. The starry-night which was all about bringing one’s personal style to the ramp, boasted of a stellar jury comprising of Bollywood actors like Prachi Desai, Kartik Aaryan,renowned designers like Deepika Govind & Amit Aggarwal, model cum dentist and former Miss India Tina Chatwal; VP, DS Group Shashank Surana and Managing Editor of Femina, Desiree De Andrade.
Round One was the ‘Satya Paul Ethnic Round’, where the divas showcased Satya Paul’s elegant and vibrant collection of sarees. The second, the ‘Reebok Fitness Round’, saw the contestants walking and jogging on the ramp sporting Reebok’s ActivChill apparel range that features proprietary technology to minimize heat and maximize potential. This was followed by the ‘Kazo Western Wear Round’ with Casio Sheen watches, which saw the contestants wearing the fresh & vibrant spring/summer collection from Kazo and sporting stylish watches from Casio Sheen designed for the modern women of today. In the final round, the girls mesmerized the audience in beautiful cocktail dresses designed by ace designer Deepika Govind. The dresses in pastel hues were from her Tinker Bell and Pixie Dust collection.
The winners of the sub-contests were, Aadhishree Chury was Rajnigandha Pearls Goodness Diva,Minakshi Puniya won Reebok fitness Diva, Afreen Alvi won Vanesa Glam Diva and Pooja Katyal won Sheen Elegant Diva.
The nail-biting finale concluded when the judges after much deliberation crowned the three winners of the Rajnigandha Silver Pearls Femina Style Diva North 2017,women who possessed the X factor, confidence, poise, and of course, an innate sense of style. Deepika Das was declared the winner of the Rajnigandha Silver Pearls Femina Style Diva North 2017. Pooja Sharma was the first runner-up and the second runner up title went to Yashi Verma.With the culmination of another splendid and successful edition of Rajnigandha Silver Pearls Femina Style Diva North 2017, Tanya Chaitanya – Editor and Chief Community Officer, Femina, stated ,” This has been the best year for Femina Style Diva so far. Our aim since its inception has been to recognize style divas who are a perfect amalgamation of beauty, intelligence, confidence, and style. The girls today have got it all and hence it has been a tough choice to choose the deserving candidate of this edition.”The star-studded finale ended with thousand selfies and smiles.
