Mumbai, 13 January 2017 : Bank of Baroda initiated a national drive on December 1, 2016 from village Dhasai; by making it first cashless village of the country and setting an example for others to follow. Thereafter, it has made continuous efforts to empower the villages of the country in going cashless. This is not only helping the villagers to get acquainted with the cashless transactions using various digital channels but also touching their hearts by making them self reliant in these times of post demonetization.

The journey started with Dhasai, then Saralgaon, Tokavade, Shivkar, Usarli and now the bandwagon came to Kelwa and Mahim Village, Palghar District.

The district administration of Palghar and Bank of Baroda organized Digidhan Mela.
