Governor presents Parmarth Seva Ratna Award to Sajjan Jindal

MUMBAI, OCT 24 ,2016 (GPN) –The Governor of Maharashtra Ch Vidyasagar Rao presented the Parmarth Seva Ratna Award to Chairman and Managing Director of Jindal Group Sajjan Jindal in Mumbai on Sunday (23 Oct). The award was presented to Sajjan Jindal (at Hotel Trident) in recognition of the community service rendered by him through the Jindal Foundation.

Sangita Jindal, Lakshminarayan Biyani, Chairman, Parmarth Seva Samiti, Gopal Biyani, President, O P Agarwal, Madanlal Rathi, Satyanarayan Agarwal and members from the Marwari community were present.

Paying rich tributes to the philanthropic spirit of the Marwari community, the Governor said members of Marwari community have rendered matchless service to society by setting up Schools, Colleges and Dharam Shalas across the length and breadth of the country. He said ‘giving back to society’ is a samsakara and that this samsakara must be imbibed on every child.

Complimenting the Parmarth Seva Samiti for its useful social work, the Governor called upon the members of the Samiti to work closely with the government in tackling the real problems of the people.
