LANXESS India signs agreement for Healthcare facilities to Civil Hospital in Nagda

Nagda, October 23, 2016 (GPN) : As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, LANXESS India Private Limited, the leading specialty chemicals company, signed a three year long agreement with Civil Hospital, Nagda, wherein, the organization commits to contribute towards the upgradation of the existing facilities and infrastructure of the hospital. In the current year, LANXESS India will be donating a state-of-the-art dialysis machine to the hospital.
The agreement was signed between Mr. Neelanjan Banerjee, Senior Executive Director, LANXESS India and Mr. Dilip Singh Shekhawat local MLA and President, Rogi Kalyan Samiti from Civil Hospital Nagda in a ceremony at the Civil Hospital. Present at the occasion were Mr. Thavarchandji Gehlot, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Sultan Singh Shekhawat, Labor Union Chairman, Mr. Lal Singh Ranawat, Mr. Rajesh Dhakad and a number of eminent dignitaries from the local administration and the hospital.
Having already donated a digital X-ray machine to the civil hospital last year, LANXESS identified a still existent gap in the medical facilities available to the locals vis-à-vis demand. The idea was to lessen the dependability of the locals on medical establishments based in far-off cities like Ujjain & Indore. Setting up of the dialysis machine in the Nagda Civil hospital will ensure timely treatment at affordable costs for the local patients thereby, improving the quality of medical aid in the region.

In the following years, LANXESS India will contribute towards aiding the civil hospital with need based medical equipment and facilities in due consultation with the hospital authorities and local administration.
The Civil hospital has undertaken the responsibility to operate and maintain the dialysis machine.
On this occasion, Mr. Neelanjan Banerjee said, “At LANXESS, we have always endeavored to contribute positively to the lives of the people in Nagda and would continue to do so. We have been constantly expanding our community outreach programmes and this is one such step towards improving the quality of life of the people in the area.”
Mr. Sanjay Singh, Site Head Nagda, LANXESS India Private Limited, said, “There is a need to ensure that all sections of the society get access to world-class health facilities and treatment. The dialysis center at Civil Hospital is just another initiative taken by LANXESS India. We hope to keep on improving the quality of life in the region.”
