Mumbai September 29, 2016 (GPN) : India will become the world’s youngest country by 2020 with a median age of 29 years, but the elderly population is also growing at an alarming rate and would be around 20% of India’s total population by 2021 according to a Help Age India study. Around 24 lakh people in India are suffering from incontinence and women surpass the men in incontinence issue.

Urinary Incontinence (UI) is a significant health problem with considerable social and economic impact. Urinary incontinence is the unintentional leakage of urine; in simple terms, it means a person urinates when they do not want to. They tend to lose or weaken their control over the urinary sphincter. Urinary incontinence is much more common in females than men with various reasons.

Nobel Hygiene the undisputed leader in the adult diaper category and the only Indian manufacturer of adult and baby diapers introduced their latest product offering –Overnight adult diapers in the Indian market.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kamal Kumar Johari, Managing Director, Nobel Hygiene said, “We have been in the diaper industry from the past 16 years and are pioneer in the adult diaper manufacturing. The elderly suffer from various ailments such as diabetes, paralysis and dementia becoming vulnerable and are either bed ridden or often confined to four walls, completely cut-off from social life. The families and care givers are also embarrassed to speak about any family member suffering from incontinence and hence there is greater need to spread awareness about the issue on mass scale as well as ensuring a guilt free and dignified life for our elderly population.”

At Nobel Hygiene our endeavour is to offer people across age groups, with products that will enhance their comfort and confidence and eventually aid in allowing them to lead a stress free life. Till now we have given more than 100 million stress free nights to our esteem customers, added Mr. Johari.

Friends Overnight, the new variant are specifically targeted towards seniors who are deprived of a good night’s sleep, due to incontinence and other health issues. The new product offers up-to 16 hours of absorption, to ensure that a user’s night remains unaffected, and his sleep uninterrupted. The adults will be with no more worries about repeated visits to the loo, or about spoiling one’s bedding. The product also features a premium, cloth-like comfortable feel along with added leak-guard protection.

Nobel Hygiene pioneered the introduction of adult diapers in the Indian market and over the years has continuously made efforts, through varied avenues, to create awareness about the problems of adult incontinence and other related issues.
