KAMA AYURVEDA HOSTS A CELEBRATION FOR WOMEN’S DAY

March, Mumbai: Women’s day was celebrated early this year with a sparkling high tea event hosted by Kama Ayurveda, India’s leading luxury Ayurveda brand, on Friday, 4th March 2016 at the Taj Lands End’s signature Italian restaurant ‘Maritime by San Lorenzo’.

 The occasion was a celebration of women, with a live interactive discussion on ‘Beauty and Ayurveda’ by Dr. Vivekanand, Assistant Senior Professor, Tran disciplinary University and moderated by celebrity columnist Malavika Sangghvi. The event was curated and put together by SANGUINE and saw a gathering of Mumbai’s leading women from various echelons of society grace the occasion with the likes of Priya Dutt, Bijal Meswani, Kim Sharma,ReenaKallat, Simone Arora, Poonam Dhillon, Kanika Kapoor, Shilpi Jatia,Bunty Chand, Devieka Bhojwani,Simone Singh, Laila Furniturewalla, Chayaa Momaya, Kamal Sidhu,Meghna Puri, Devita Saraf, Poonam Soni, Shwetha Shetty, Zeba Kohli and Meheka Mirpuri in attendance. 

A smattering of a few elegant men like Kama Ayurveda founder, Vivek Sahni, Delhi’s marketing guru Suhel Seth, leading lawyer Raian Karanjawala and Raaj Sanghvi, founder of SANGUINE were also present.

The discussion covered topics like: how Ayurveda can be incorporated into daily life, the causes of stress and its solutions, tips on how to be more in tune with your body and how to identify your own doshas.

Dr. Vivekanand also extolled the virtues of a healthy diet and proper sleep and nutrition and highlighted the integral role of women as healers and nurturers in a male dominated world.  The engaging talk was followed by audience questions and many guests stayed on for private consultations.

 A bespoke menu had been created by the Taj’s Italian Chef Alessandro Bechini, which consisted of a delightful Ayurveda friendly spread which included dishes like: Chavanprash friselle, Bruschetta with gooseberry sauce, Mediterranean Quinoa salad, Zucchini and avocado pesto pasta and Wild rice
with currants and health friendly desserts like Beetroot pudding, Pear sorbet and Saffron panna cotta. Guests were seen sipping on fresh vegetable and fruit juices along with Vishudhi Herbal tea.
