Mumbai, February 1, 2016: TVS Motor Company has recorded 12.1% growth in sales during the month of January 2016, with total sales increasing from 185,997 units recorded in the month of January 2015 to 208,485 units in the month of January 2016.

Exports

The company’s total exports registered 39.1% growth with sales increasing from 25,029 units recorded in January 2015 to 34,823 units in the month of January 2016. Two wheeler exports grew by 51.2% with sales increasing from 19,232 units in January 2015 to 29,071 units in January 2016. 

Two Wheeler

Total two wheeler sales increased by 12.4% from 179,036 units recorded in January 2015 to 201,233 units in January 2016. Domestic two wheeler sales grew by 7.7% with sales increasing from 159,804 units in January 2015 to 172,162 units in January 2016.

Scooter sales of the company grew by 14.1% increasing from 54,830 units in January 2015 to 62,552 units in January 2016. Motorcycles recorded 19.9% growth with sales increasing from 69,564 units in the month of January 2015 to 83,374 units in January 2016.

Three Wheeler

The three wheeler sales of the company registered growth of 4.2% with sales increasing from 6,961 units in the month of January 2015 to 7,252 units of in January 2016.
