Mumbai, 23, January, 2015: Iconic designer brand Satya Paul, today announced the launch of their capusle khadi collection, woven by the widowed khadi weavers of the farmers of Marthawada. Having been a leading emblem of the Indian nationalist movement, this fabric has great significance to the history of modern India. With Republic Day around the corner, this limited edition saree line celebrates the regale of Indian spirit woven into the fabric that symbolizes India’s self-reliance.

The line offers a wide range of pure khadi sarees on a monochromatic palate, as well as with a churn of other unique khadi blends in vibrant hues. All the pieces have been inspired from the repertoire of Satya Paul’s iconic prints from over the years that have represented a socio-cultural cause.

The collection especially designed in support of the Naam Foundation for development of Khadi was recently showcased at the Spring Fest, Mumbai uniting the world through performing arts. The show was attended by a host of celebrities including Milind Deora, psychologist Harsh Shetty, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Coleen Khan, Lubna Adams, models Deepti Gujra and Alecia Candice Pinto, Deepika Gehani and more.
